Designed to strengthen students’ understanding of the Texts and Human Experiences focus area, this incursion helps Year 12 Standard and Advanced students get to grips with their prescribed text and prepare for analytical writing in assessment and examination contexts by:

  • Clarifying the key concerns of Texts and Human Experiences, including how texts represent and provide insight into emotional, intellectual, physical, cultural, and lived experiences.

  • Helping students develop strong, adaptable essay arguments about their prescribed text, with a focus on close textual analysis, evidence, and drawing insights.

  • Walking students through a practice examination-style question so they can build a thesis, plan a line of argument, and understand how to write with confidence and precision.

Each incursion is tailored to the prescribed text your students are studying.
