Year 11 Reading to Write Incursion

Delivery Modes: In person or online
Fee: $20 per student (GST inclusive)
Minimum booking: 50 students at a minimum rate of $1000 per incursion
Materials: All students receive an incursion booklet.
Incursion Description
This incursion improves students’ ability to read and analyse texts by:
Teaching them how to conduct a close reading of visual texts, poetry, prose fiction, and prose nonfiction.
Teaching them to read with greater speed and precision by using a shortlist of aspects of textual form/literary devices.
Providing them with the opportunity to apply close reading skills to a range of different short texts.
Our Reading to Write Incursion is designed to improve students’ close reading of a variety of texts composed in different textual forms.
