OUR STORY
Into English is an Australian teacher-training organisation and educational publisher founded by Emily Bosco to support Secondary English teachers in doing what they do best — with clarity, confidence, and care. With a background as a classroom teacher, English faculty leader, and academic author, Emily created Into English with a simple promise: practical professional learning and student-centred resources that actually work in real classrooms.
We specialise in high-impact professional development, protocol pedagogy, and explicit instruction, alongside carefully designed student resources grounded in the principles of Understanding by Design (Grant Wiggins and Jay McTighe) and Making Thinking Visible (Ron Ritchhart, Mark Church, Karin Morrison, and David Perkins). Emily Bosco
FOUNDER & MANAGING DIRECTOR
Emily Bosco is the founder and Managing Director of Into English. A former classroom teacher, English faculty leader, and mentor teacher in NSW schools, Emily brings deep curriculum knowledge and practical classroom experience to her work supporting Secondary English teachers.
For over a decade, she has designed and delivered high-impact professional learning across New South Wales, with a strong focus on protocol pedagogy, explicit instruction, and thoughtful curriculum design. Emily is also an academic author and the lead writer of the Into English Student Book series, creating student-centred resources grounded in Understanding by Design to support meaningful engagement with texts and ideas.
Emily holds postgraduate qualifications in English Studies and Education and is passionate about empowering teachers through clarity, confidence, and collegial learning.

Anthony Bosco
TEACHER TRAINER & AUTHOR
Anthony Bosco has been part of Into English since its inception and is a highly experienced educator and instructional leader with a 20-year career in NSW schools. He has worked across a range of teaching and leadership roles, including English teacher, faculty coordinator, and Director of the International Baccalaureate.As a teacher trainer at Into English, Anthony designs and facilitates professional learning with a particular focus on HSC Extension 1 English. His work centres on curriculum design, thinking routines, and explicit instruction, supporting teachers to build intellectually rigorous and coherent English programs.
Anthony holds postgraduate qualifications in educational leadership and presents regularly at English teacher and IB conferences. He brings a thoughtful, research-informed approach to professional learning and classroom practice.
