Fee: $25 per student, GST inclusive

Minimum booking fee: Each incursion has a minimum charge of $2,000, equivalent to 80 students.

For bookings of fewer than 80 students, the minimum incursion fee of $2,000 applies. For bookings of more than 80 students, the fee is calculated at $25 per student.

Multiple incursion discount: Schools booking two or more incursions on the same day or across consecutive days receive a 10% discount on the incursion fees.

Travel fee: Travel and accommodation are charged separately for in-person incursions outside the Riverina region. From 1 July 2026, our travel fee is $650, GST inclusive.

Online incursions via Zoom are charged at the same student rate and minimum booking fee, but do not attract a travel fee.

Materials: All students receive an incursion booklet.

Incursion Description

This incursion prepares Standard and Advanced students for the types of questions they may be asked in Paper 2: Section III of the HSC English examination by:

• Clarifying exam specifications

• Explaining to students how they are assessed in this section of the exam

• Exploring the ways prescribed texts can help students to craft their own texts

• Walking students through a variety of examination questions, with modeled responses, to demonstrate how discursive, persuasive, and imaginative texts can be written

• Teaching students how to compose a reflective piece that highlights the language and stylistic choices they have made in their creative composition, and makes reference to the prescribed texts and/or writers who have influenced their composition.
