The security period for the papers is up to and including Friday 22nd August 2014.

Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions seek to safeguard the security and integrity of the trial examination papers.

It is essential that these terms and conditions are observed by individual schools so that the Into English trial HSC English examination papers are a valid tool for assessment for Year 12 students as they prepare for their final HSC English examinations.

  1. Into English examination papers must not be modified, except in cases where a module has yet to be covered in class. In such circumstances an alternative question should be set and presented to students on a coloured insert sheet.
  2. Into English papers must be printed with the Into English logo. The examination papers must not be re-badged as this is in breach of copyright legislation.
  3. Upon completion of each examination, papers must be collected and retained with the students’ scripts until the end of the Security Period. For 2014 the Security Period for all schools is up to and including Friday 22nd August, 2014.
  4. Into English examination papers may only be photocopied within the limitations stated in the blackline master license. Photocopying beyond these limitations is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of acceptable use and a breach of The Copyright Act 1968. The examination papers may contain third party copyright materials that schools have not sought permission to use or paid for. Failure to abide by copyright legislation can result in heavy fines to the school/college.
  5. These Terms and Conditions do not allow teachers to ‘cut and paste’ Into English examination papers to create new papers. This is a breach of our Terms and Conditions and The Copyright Act 1968.
  6. Into English examination papers must not be placed on the school intranet, the internet or on any mobile device. This is a breach of the Terms and Conditions of acceptable use and a breach of the Copyright Act 1968.

Blackline Master License

The purchasing educational institution and its staff have the right to make copies of each of the Into English Trial HSC examination papers beyond their rights under the Australian Copyright Act 1968 (the Act), provided that:

  1. The number of copies of each individual examination paper does not exceed 250.
  2. Copies are made only by reprographic means (photocopying), not by electronic/digital means, and not stored on the school intranet, the internet or on any mobile device.
  3. The examination papers are not altered, reproduced beyond the terms of this license, published or stored in a retrieval system.
  4. Copies are not sold or lent. This includes providing students with copies of the examinations to keep.
