Course Description

This course provides teachers with strategies for designing rigorous and engaging programs that meet the requirements of the new syllabus. Throughout the day, teachers will consider text choices and requirements across Stage 4 and Stage 5 and what an overarching scope and sequence might look like. From here, teachers will learn how to place elements fundamental to the English discipline at the core of units of work and maintain focus on these elements throughout the unit by engaging students in a variety of rich critical and creative activities. It is a course that is sure to leave teachers feeling confident, prepared, and excited about implementing new and reinvigorated units of work in Stages 4-5 English!
